Redensification of a residential property by building a 7-story residential building in the courtyard area – modern, floor-to-ceiling glazed apartments in hybrid construction: Using reinforced concrete and wood to create high-quality housing in a downtown location, as a prototype in the wake of political will in terms of design and construction process in the inner-city area.

After final demolition of the former classical Wilhelminian style building (which was badly damaged in WWII), it was replaced by a simple apartment building on the street front in the 1970s. Having been planned in the post-war period under economic criteria, the residents have been looking at cleared side wings since then, into an unused courtyard space enclosed by the fire walls of the neighboring buildings.

This is now being upgraded by an attached 7-story apartment building, designed according to ecological and compatibility criteria in the area of the northern fire wall, with one apartment per floor in the courtyard area.
